Pelahatchie BBQ Festival

The 1st Annual Pelahatchie BBQ Festival is being held at Yogi on the Lake on April 2 & 3, 2010. The first competition was a real success with 18 teams. Accroding to KCBS officials, "That is great for a first year". This year's competition promises to be bigger and better.

Word of mouth is getting around and BBQ Teams from all over the area are beginning to include the Pelahatchie BBQ Festival in their schedule. Vendors are hearing what an awesome event we had and getting their applications in so they can experience the fun.

We working out the final details with a new, exciting band for Friday night (April 2). It will be a well-known artist in the Mississippi area. Make sure you check back for the announcement of the band.

This year we will be hosting a breakfast for all the teams. Each team will receive six tickets for FREE breakfast and others with the team can join in for a small fee.

Last year the Sweat Hogs BBQ Team were crowned our Grand Champions with a score of 654.286. Our Reserve Grand Champion was Learn2Q.com. With the inaugural competition in the history book, we've now 'set the bar' for score and look forward to teams striving to beat the score.
